For fishing pan fish, but many of the items below do no apply to crappie fishing. 1. Use a bobber just big enough to float the bait and weight. 2. Wait for the bobber to go under before setting the hook. 3. Make the leader light enough so fish won't be spooked by it. 4. Make the leader long enough not to spook the fish 5. Use a bait that sinks 6. Sharp hooks 7. Adjust bait level below bobber so its close to the bottom but not on it

Went to Cullman Lake in Alabama. Used my jig tipped with a waxie. Bluegill looked at "Alpha Man" He had to have it. Caught a biggun. Cleaned and cooked him. Ate him. Yum Yum
